Hazai és nemzetközi építészeti elismerések özönét hozta a 2009-es év az Agria Park számára. Első hazai bizonyítékaként annak, hogy egy bevásárlóközpont is lehet szép és jó, építészetileg értékes megoldás.

Az üzletközpont 2009. december 11-én megkapta az egyik legrangosabb hazai építőipari kitüntetést, az ÉPÍTŐIPARI NÍVÓDÍJAT. December 9-én az épületet fejlesztő WING Zrt. a nemzetközi ingatlanszövetség magyar tagozatának FIABCI különdíját vehette át a bevásárlóközpontért. A komplexum a CNBC Arabia európai Ingatlandíjon idén az Év Bevásárlóközpontja lett, korábban pedig a CIJ nemzetközi szaklap is Európa legjobb bevásárlóközpontjának választotta.

A többszintes létesítmény valóban kuriózumnak számít Európában is: a hajdani egri dohánygyár épületei és az egriek jelképévé vált víztorony harmonikusan illeszkednek az Agria Park modern épületrészeihez. Emellett a korabeli oszlopfők, a teljesen felújított Zsolnay kút és napóra, valamint a nagyközönség számára is megnyitott ősfás park a történelmi belváros hangulatát őrzik, művészi egységgé komponálva régit és újat.

On December 4th 2008 the Construction & Investment Journal (CIJ) held an award ceremony in Budapest or the highest ranking real estate projects of the year. Real estate firms competed in 5 categories for newly built real estate project development in Hungary.

Easter celebrations at Agria Park
Agria Park celebrated Easter with a host of family and children’s programs. The Easter events at the shopping centre attracted at least as many visitors as the opening weekend of 7 March. The Easter celebrations also marked the beginning of the shopping centre’s spring program of events.
 
Wallis Ingatlan enters retail property market
Wallis Ingatlan, the property unit of Hungarian-owned holding company Wallis, will open its first retail development - a HUF 10bn shopping and entertainment centre in Eger (NE Hungary) - on Friday, business daily Vilaggazdasag reported on Thursday.

75,000-80,000 visit Agria Park on opening weekend
A great deal of interest was generated by the opening weekend of the largest and most modern shopping and entertainment complex in Eger and the surrounding area, which offers an unparalleled range of shops and services to suit all requirements, as visitors were greeted by a plethora of events and special offers at the almost 100 retail outlets. Agria Park opened its gates at precisely 9 am on 7 March 2008, to the large crowd of visitors that had gathered there in anticipation. On its first three days of business Agria Park had a total of 75,000-80,000 visitors, and the combined takings of the newly opened stores approached HUF 150 million.
 
Newest Wallis project starts in Eger
With a cornerstone ceremony held in Eger last Tuesday, one of the largest investments in northeast Hungary kicked off. Developer Wallis Real Estate Zrt, the property arm of Hungarian-owned firm Wallis Zrt. broke ground on the Agria Park site.
The cost of the project, which will be executed on approximately 20,000 square meters on the site of the former Eger Tobacco Factory, is over Ft 10 billion and is financed by Wallis partially with held capital and the remainder from a loan contract with Euro Hypo Bank.
With the name selected via a referendum last year, Agria Park project consists of a total rentable area of 21,800 square meters, of which 18,000 square meters are for retail, 1,600 square meters are for office space, and the remaining 1,400 square meters for warehousing.
 
Wallis opens HUF 10 bln shopping mall in Eger next March
Hungarian-owned real estate developer Wallis Ingatlan is planning to open a HUF 10 bln shopping and entertainment mall in the Northeastern Hungarian city of Eger in March 2008, according to Hungarian state news agency MTI.
Agria Park, whose construction started in February 2007 on the site of a former tobacco factory built in 1896, will have 22,000 square meters (sqm) of rentable space. The shopping mall will comprise some 18,000 sqm of retail area, 1,600 sqm of office space and 1,400 sqm of warehouse area.
